Wedding and Honeymoon: Part 2

So the honeymoon was awesome. Here is our tale.
We flew to beautiful Cozumel, Mexico on the Monday after the wedding. We left Greenville at 4am, but we were too excited to be tired.
We landed in Cozumel around 1pm. The airport was really small, and I'm pretty sure we were the only flight coming in that day. We got hounded on our way out of the airport by shuttle drivers. Luckily we found the right one, because we found out later that many of the others take you to a timeshare presentation instead of your resort. That would have sucked.

We rolled into the Wyndham Cozumel and it was more beautiful than the pictures. The open air lobby was awesome and we were greeted kindly and the bell boy took our bags to the Sabor side of the resort to get us checked in.

You should know that Jordan is a super sleuth when it comes to finding deals. When we were looking for honeymoon packages, she found us this resort. At they time they were running a deal that would allow you to upgrade to the exclusive side of the resort for only $10 more a night. We would have paid $100 a night because it was so worth it.
We got to our room and it was amazing. We could walk out of the back door and step right into a pool. That pool had slides that went into the main pool. Yeah it was as cool as it sounds.
It was all-inclusive, so we didn't have to pay for anything. Well, almost anything. We didn't bring sunscreen (my fault, I thought it wouldn't get through security) so I figured we could just buy it at the resort. I figured it would be marked up, and came into it ready to pay 8 or 9 bucks to not get roasted. In the gift shop we see some small cans of spray on sunscreen. I read the label and it says $310.00. I thought I was on Punked. Coming into this I was not aware that the symbol for the Peso was the dollar sign. So turns out that $310.00 pesos is still alot. $25 for an 8 oz can of sunscreen. Should have taken the chance on the security. My bad. Stupid gringo.

We got into a pretty good routine. Wake up, eat breakfast, go back to bed, wake back up, go to the pool. We would hang out by the pool until lunch, grab some lunch, back to the pool, take a nap (very strenuous schedule), and then afternoon activity. Our afternoon activities were really fun. We: snorkeled, rode jet skis, snorkeled again, took a Mayan jungle walk, and went shopping in the city. We saw so many colorful fish, crystal clear water, amazing weather, and lots of Luchador masks.
All in all we got very tan, very rested, and very well fed. It was an awesome time and we are already planning our next trip.
It was nice to get home and start getting settled in. Our apartment is finally starting to feel like home.

Until next time,
Jered and Jordan
