A New Me.

I have been debating all summer about whether or not to cut my bangs. I needed something new, so I went for it!
I love it! I feel like I got a new haircut and I still kept my length! It's great!

Here are the before and after pics!

What do you think??

pizza!

Last night we went to a new restaurant in Edwardsville,
Peel Wood Fire Pizza. It was very good. Very similar to
California Pizza Kitchen.
The pizza is brick oven pizza, and it was amazing!
Its a little on the pricey side, but very good!
We will be back for sure!

We forgot to take pictures of our food! That NEVER happens!
We were sooo hungry...

Oh Greenville...

Jered and I got up this morning and realized we were out of coffee!
I said don't worry hunny, I will walk to Adams Brother and get us some.
So I hurried and got ready and went to Adam's Brothers Coffee...
CLOSED!
I thought its ok, I will try the Turret Cafe...
CLOSED!

How are all the coffee shops closed on a Wednesday Morning when everyone needs a pick me up before work on hump day?

Oh Greenville...

What would we do without coffee?

p.s. no matter how cranky i am in the morning...Jered always looks at me with his squinty eyes as he shuffles to the bathroom and says "hi pretty" or "hi, your pretty". he's the best.

p.s.s. I really want a shiba inu. I wish dogs didn't require so much work. :(

Mix #1

Ok, so Jered and I have been listening to a lot of music while we edit the wedding video.
We have also been making playlists of potential wedding video music.
So, I thought why not have a weekly playlist on the blog.

So here is some music the Schneider's having been listening to!

Hope you enjoy!

first wedding video

This weekend we had a blast filming the Gaylord/Hillmer Wedding.
Tj filmed our wedding for us and we got to return the favor.
Jered and I loved filming together.
Its a great opportunity to be creative together.
(Video will be posted this week).

Here are some photos of the day.

Yesterday we began the editing process.
But it was not all fun and games.
We had one of our first big arguments as Husband and Wife.
We sat down at the computer and it was all down hill from there!
Jered started editing and I started giving my input about how the process should go.
There was a major power struggle.
We both like to be in-charge!
Words were exchanged such as, "who nominated you to be in charge of editing."
"Your not creative"
"I should be doing this"
It was not good.

Finally, we talked it out. Went and got some dinner.
And all was good again.
We sat down and tried it again.
We worked together as a team and it was so much fun.
The video is going to be very good for our first attempt!

Geek Glasses

the geek glasses are back!
I am loving the trend of the geek glasses.
I was walking around the mall last night and I kept seeing people with these glasses! Love it!

Even Jay-Z is rockin the geek glasses...

A couple of months ago Jered bought some geek glasses...
he never wears them though :(
(hint hint...maybe you should, husband)

If you are looking for cheap prescription glasses...
look no more!
Check out Zennioptical
Kaity introduced me to this site this past semester.
I have not ordered any myself, but I am planning to, soon!
She has ordered some, and they turned out great!
Just call your eye doctor, get your prescription and pupil area distance.
They should just give you the information...mine did!

p.s. my husband is the best. i am so lucky. (he even let me go shopping last night) :)

sausage gravy and wedding videos.

Husband & Wife time = the best.
Last night we made homemade biscuits and gravy.
Sooo good.
Jered made his into a deluxe biscuit and gravy! Biscuits with potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheese, and gravy on top.
(his belly still hurt this morning).

The rest of the night was spent watching wedding videos.
We are filming our friend's wedding this weekend!
We are so excited.
We love being creative together!
We also began working on a slide show for our great friends
Kaity and Austin.
They are getting married Aug. 6th. We cannot be more excited for them!
Mostly we are excited to have them to hang out with again (Austin has been at home in Vancouver, B.C.)

Anyways, editing turned into a silly photo shoot which includes my snuggie, and our TV as our monitor!

I am loving life as Mrs. Schneider!!

Fair, Parade, and a Carnival

Boy it sure is that time of year! The time of year that you think to yourself, "I would love to sit on the side of the road and watch high school bands and fire trucks drive by, all while having candy thrown at me." Thats right. Its fair season.

Jordan and I decided to make a trip to a near by county fair, grab a corn dog, and blend in with all the country folk. My brother Scott and his wife Jane came with us to take part in the festivities.

There was a parade before the fair. We thought this would be fun. We didn't know that this would be the worlds longest parade, ever. We made it through about an hour of Knights of Columbus floats and VFW marchers before the call of the Funnel Cake was too strong.

We then made our way to the fair grounds. We all scatered to differnt food vendors. Jord to the corn dogs, Scott to the ribbon fries, and I to the BBQ pork loins. It was a delite.

The rides and midway games were suspect to say the least. It was like the Sideshow people were called in to work the games and yell at us as we passed. It reminded me of a scene from a movie when a kid wonders to the wrong side of town.

I got some sweet new sunglasses from a vendor selling knock off Raybans. Everyone else just got belly aches.

It was a fun and necessary summer outing, and I am sure we will hit up a few more of these summer staples before the summer is over.

Check out these moves:

p.s. we cannot figure out how to rotate this video :(

I can't stop thinking about....

A couple of weeks ago I went to Chicago with my good friend Kaity.
We did some shopping and did some wedding planning.
( Her wedding is going to be beautiful, pics will be up after Aug. 6th)
Anways, I tried on this floppy sun hat. I cannot get it out of my mind. Its the perfect summer accessory. Maybe someday I will be lucky enough to own one!

Looks pretty good..right?

Everything's better when were together.....

Last Night we were both having a hard time getting to sleep.
Sleep alawys seems much harder when you know you have to get up early.
Jered had to leave the house at 5:45 this morning.
As we were laying there Jered says,
"On my lunch break I thought about how much I missed you today, so I played some Jack Johnson"
Then he began singing...Its always better when were together...Ohhhh....Its always better when were together.

he is such a sweet guy.
What a great husband.

Date Night...

Our Home.
We could not be more pleased with our little apartment.
Our dream is to one day live in the city...Greenville will do for now.
(We are the one on the Corner with the cute white shutters).

After work we headed to Adam Brothers Coffee for some cold drinks.
I got iced coffee.
Jered got Apple Juice. (He is wierd, but i love him anyways!)
We spent the afternoon working on this blog :)

Meal time! Its our favorite part of any day.
We sure do love to eat.
As Jered said in his vows "I love how you get just as excited about a meal as I do." :)

We headed to Wayne's Produce. Its a local farmers market with fresh produce. We like to try to support them as much as possible. But they only accept cash, so most of them time we are lazy and just go to the dreaded IGA. Every time we go to Wayne's we promise to start supporting them more. Yesterday was no exception. Hopefully we can keep our promise this time.

Anyways, back to the meal. We bought summer squash and zucchini to grill on our small rooftop.

Jered was in charge of grilling. I cut and seasoned the veggies and made some garlic mashed potatoes. Jered is quite the grill master! Our steaks were grilled to perfection!
What a great way to spend a summer evening.

But wait... there is one more thing!

Yes that is a dog on a motorcycle with GOGGLES!
We were sitting on our swing and looked across the street at the same time. We looked at each other in disbelief and broke out into laughter.
We instantly went to the edge of the roof and Jered of course takes a picture. Then he looked at me and said " I have to go down there" and then turns and runs into the house and down the stairs.

A dog buckled into a motorcycle and is wearing googles! It just can not get much better than that!

After the sun went down, we laid on our comfy couch and watched prison documentaries on Netflix! :)

It was such a relaxing and wonderful evening as husband and wife.

Lust.

All day I sit at work and look at fashion websites and blogs (in between folding letters of course). Vintage Modern. That is what i want for my life. My greatest find this summer has been Ruche. The selection and prices are great! Like most girls, my true love is Anthropology. But like I said I fold envelopes for a living so Anthropology cannot be in my life. But watch-out Anthropology! Ruche is a quarter of the price but keeps the fantastic vintage feel! Ruche is where its at. Trust me.
