Fair, Parade, and a Carnival

Boy it sure is that time of year! The time of year that you think to yourself, "I would love to sit on the side of the road and watch high school bands and fire trucks drive by, all while having candy thrown at me." Thats right. Its fair season.

Jordan and I decided to make a trip to a near by county fair, grab a corn dog, and blend in with all the country folk. My brother Scott and his wife Jane came with us to take part in the festivities.

There was a parade before the fair. We thought this would be fun. We didn't know that this would be the worlds longest parade, ever. We made it through about an hour of Knights of Columbus floats and VFW marchers before the call of the Funnel Cake was too strong.

We then made our way to the fair grounds. We all scatered to differnt food vendors. Jord to the corn dogs, Scott to the ribbon fries, and I to the BBQ pork loins. It was a delite.

The rides and midway games were suspect to say the least. It was like the Sideshow people were called in to work the games and yell at us as we passed. It reminded me of a scene from a movie when a kid wonders to the wrong side of town.

I got some sweet new sunglasses from a vendor selling knock off Raybans. Everyone else just got belly aches.

It was a fun and necessary summer outing, and I am sure we will hit up a few more of these summer staples before the summer is over.

Check out these moves:

p.s. we cannot figure out how to rotate this video :(
